Smidge Infant Probiotic Powder has been designed to nurture the most sensitive of digestive systems. This gentle formulation includes seven different strains of probiotics that may boost immune health, promote better digestion, and enhance nutrient absorption. Designed for babies, infants and children but can also be used by adults.

Smidge's Infant Probiotic Powder is a gentle, easy to take powder that can be placed directly in baby's mouth or mixed with formula or breastmilk. It contains seven clinically-proven strains of human probiotics (B. infantis, B. bifidum, B. breve, B. longum, B. lactis, L.gasseri, L. salivarius), with 50% of the formula containing Bifidobacterium infantis, the predominant strain that has been found in healthy infants. It can help to support gut health in babies and improve diversity in the gut, which is important for a strong and healthy immune system. It is free of excipients and any other ingredients that may upset the gut. It has been formulated specifically for young children and infants’ developing gut ecology, but can be used by adults as well.

Warnings: 

• The supplements we carry are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dose feels right for you.

• If moisture enters the bottle, it can render the probiotic bacteria inactive. Do not remove the moisture-absorbing packet from the bottle.

Storage

• Please keep the probiotics refrigerated and always capped for long-term storage.

• Do not remove the moisture packet inside the bottle.  

• Make sure the spoons are very clean and dry before using them with the powder for best results.

Infants: Place a pencil point amount of GutPro® Infant in the baby’s mouth prior to nursing or mix with a small amount of breastmilk or formula on a spoon and give immediately before feeding. Increase the dose in tiny increments if needed or as guided by a qualified healthcare professional. Note: You may not need to give infants probiotics daily. Depending on your baby’s sensitivity, you may choose to give the probiotic less frequently (every other day, bi-weekly, once per week, etc). Even at this small amount, the recipient will receive billions of well balanced CFUs.

Toddlers (1-2 years of age): Add a pencil point amount of GutPro® Infant powder to your toddler’s food and increase to a quarter of the smallest spoon (“drop”)  over time or as directed by a healthcare professional. May be given once daily or every other day.
